Happy birthday, Lincoln!

We had a small at-home birthday celebration for Lincoln. He LOVED the dairy free cake and his fun Buggly Wuggly toy. He'd never used a ride-on toy before, but he got the hang of it pretty quickly!

He loved the cake, of course!

Levi helped Lincoln with his special birthday toy. Lincoln was in heaven!

Another clip of Levi helping Lincoln:

And one more video, because Cecil wanted to be like Levi and it was super cute!

Quotable Quotes

"Facts are stubborn things, and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictums of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." -John Adams
"May I share some suggestions with you who face... the testing that a wise Heavenly Father determines is needed even when you are living a worthy, righteous life and are obedient to His commandments Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more . He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain." -- Elder Richard G. Scott
‎"The Lord is more concerned with what a man is than with what he was, and with where he is than with where he has been." -- Elder F. Burton Howard
"There are things for each of you to do that no one else can do as well as you. If you do not prepare to do them, they will not be done. Your mission is unique and distinctive for you. Please don’t make another have to take your place. He or she can’t do it as well as you can." -H. Burke Peterson
"We do not discover humility by thinking less of ourselves, we discover it by thinking less about ourselves." - Dieter F. Ucthdorf
When Anne and Gilbert get married: "Their happiness was in each other's keeping and both were unafraid" -Anne's House of Dreams, by L.M. Montgomery
Prayers, scriptures, and ordinances deepen conversion. Love, tithing, and chastity strengthen family. -Elder Anthony D. Perkins
If you choose to seek riches for the sake of riches, you will fall short. You will never be satisfied. You will be empty, never finding true happiness and lasting joy. The trial of your faith, my dear brothers and sisters, in the next few years to come will likely not be that you lack the material things of this world. Rather it will be in choosing what to do with the temporal blessings you may receive. -Elder M. Russell Ballard
"He is not well-bred, who cannot bear ill-breeding in others." -Benjamin Franklin
What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult to each other? -George Eliot
"From the conclusion of [the Revolutionary war] we shall be going downhill. It will not then be necessary to resort every moment to the people for support. They will be forgotten, therefore, and their rights disregarded. They will forget themselves ... and will never think of uniting to effect a due respect for their rights. The shackles, therefore, which shall not be knocked off at the conclusion of this war will remain on us long, will be made heavier and heavier, til our rights shall revive or expire in a convulsion." -Thomas Jefferson
"If you desire to make a difference in the world, you must be different from the world." -Elaine S. Dalton
