This morning, I had my first fantasy literature/movie dream in a really long time. It was pretty interesting.
Austin, Levi and I start out in some sort of hotel or bed-and-breakfast. A lady is trying to dispose of us, and we get tipped off by a friendly bystander, who lets us know the down-low of the world that we've somehow found ourselves in: this lady is like the White Witch in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe because she's trying to take over the world and will be deceptive to do it. I'm kind of hazy on the details of the beginning of the dream, so I'll skip down to the parts that I remember.
We find out about the Evil Lady's Good counterpart, who lives in the colder parts of the world. We're told she's coming to help us. A few minutes later, the Good Lady drives up to the cafe that we're in. Her car is an older (late 90's?) black SUV--not exactly what you'd expect. While we're in the process of leaving, the evil lady hands me an item, saying that it was something not good and she was giving it to me for safekeeping. I asked if it should be destroyed, and she said yes. Of course I didn't trust her, though, so as soon as I got in the black SUV with the Good Lady, I asked her about it. She told me not to destroy it and some other details that of course I don't remember now.
It must have been a magical 90's SUV because we got to the Good Lady's lands fairly quickly. It looked like Spring was just starting, as there was snow on the ground and on the trees but not a lot and all the green growth looked new. We went into an older cafe and started visiting with the people there.
I woke up before anything interesting happened. Maybe this will be a serial dream--I have had those. I'll update if I have another one.
